How To Delete Trojan Horse Generic8

Several months ago my computer got infected by Trojan Horse Generic8 ERG. Here are the characteristics of it:
  1. It names its self the same name with a system file, Services.exe (the system file is services.exe, see the different). If you want to delete it manually, the computer will deny it (deleting system file is not allowed).
  2. The Trojan Horse size is 17 to 18 kb. It is usually located in c:\windows\
  3. It makes your Antivirus Application look stupid, because it can disable your antivirus for scanning or installing.
  4. I found that the Trojan Horse has a naïf purpose. Every time I try to name/open file or folder that contain “sex”, “naked”, “porn” or something like that, the Trojan Horse will close the file or folder automatically
If you want to get rid of it, try this:
  1. Open TuneUp Utilities application (click here to download) and then choose: “Additional Tools” > “TuneUp Process Manager”.
  2. Click Processes tab, and find “Services.exe” file.
  3. Click “Edit” > “Terminate Process” to stop the Trojan Horse activities.
  4. You are not safe yet. Install the newest Antivirus Application (I recommend AVG), and scan you computer.
  5. The Trojan Horse and the infected files will be deleted.
