Indonesian Foods : Sate or Satay

Sate or sometimes written satay is a kind of Indonesian food. It is made of pieces of meat (chicken, goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, fish, and others) that cut bite sized and roasted using wood coals. Sate is served with various spices like soy sauce, tomato slices and eaten with lontong or ketupat (rice product).

Sate is also well known in Asian countries such as Malaysia, Filipino, Thailand, and Singapore. In western countries, sate may looks like barbecue. If you are in Indonesia, don’t forget to taste sate, because I think it is so delicious.
